Where to get Water Temps

I've been using Laptimer for a short time and love it. Just recently started using it with a Kiwi OBDII. I see that on the export data RPM is avaliable but I wanted to find out if the Water Temp was also avaliable on a data export. I see it avalible in real time when using the GPS screen but does the Laptimer also record the water temps and the other sensors?

Thanks,
Royce M

Hi Royce,

Water temperature is not recorded currently. Currently OBD recordings are RPM, MAF, SPEED, and THROTTLE.

Assuming MAF is recorded is it possible to have BOOST info on overlay ?

I believe MAF alone does not give full indication on boost level. Currently, the whole calculation of MAF derived values (power, fuel consumption, etc) works for non diesel / non turbo engines only. I'm not too deep in this, maybe someone can give a hint on how to treat turbo engines correctly. Probably PID 0170 is usable for boost status?

Harry, can we please have OBD water temperature logged in the next version, please? It would be nice to have it display on one of the screens as well. It will save many of us money on buying a water temperature gauge!

Air temps in the low 30's last night with winds gusting over 40 mph. Water temps are falling fast. Too windy to get on water to get water temps.
