This is a new error that I did not get using HLT v18 but I am currently using HLT 19.04 for IOS and getting this ERROR, "Master video is not available, or misses the video and audio track. Please check alternatives or download.

I have all my files linked and can produce overlays with my master as originally created from the Iphone, one Pic-n-pic is GoPro, and other Pic-n-Pic is IPOD.

As I have always done in the past, I delete the IPhone master as it is a front facing view of the cabin and not needed. The GoPro front facing becomes master, and the IPOD becomes rear facing pic-n-pic.

I use HLT extensively and this one has me perplexed as I always typically do this type of reordering the video's

This sound like an iOS incompatibility with the video you are using. For iOS, LapTimer is not dealing with individual encoders / format but just leaves the job to iOS... Can you please clarify on the follow items: is the master video of the overlay you want to create from an external cam? Is this video listed in Video View and in which section? Is the video displayed with a preview?

Master video I want as master is gopro 3*

Video list is the answer. On the track session, laps 60 to 69 are with video I linked. (3.7g). Laps 70t to 76 are with 2nd video which was created during the session. How do I link a second video in a single track session or do I need to join the video"s with external program?

Finally, in the lap view, the go pro vid shows across all laps so it was not obvious that I had 2 videos spanning one track session.

The HERO will split a video at 4GB (depends on the file system used for the SD card). LapTimer is not aware of this split and will link all laps recorded between cam start and stop (which generated two videos) to a single video entity. A solution once you ran into this situation is not trivial for two reasons:

1) When linking a lap to a video manually (using Add Video or Relink), LapTimer will allow you to either link this lap only (meaning you need to repeat that step 6 times for laps 71-76), or all of the sessions laps. When going for the "all" case, laps 60 to 76 will be adjusted - which is wrong for 60 to 69.
2) The sync point (alignment lap/video) is void for the second video because it is measured from the beginning of the video. For the second video, all sync points are too high - by the first video's length.

In case this sounds crazy complicated for you, you may try the following: join both videos using a video editor on your desktop. Maybe iOS is able to cope with the huge resulting video and process all overlays without fiddling with the sync and assignment stuff.

I took the simpler route and combined the two GoPro videos and created a joined 4.73G MP4 video. Using Ifunbox, I copied the new file into the HLT documents directory and relinked the track session. The 71st lap was my reference lap, so you can see how I wanted to see the overlay. :}

Thanks Harry.
