How to change language

Post by atanero »

Dear Harry,

I bought the iOS italian version of Harry's LapTimer Grand Prix Edition app.

That's a fantastic app but the translation in italian is sometimes not very accurate and can mislead you.

Is it possible to change the language inside the app? I would like to use english most of the time.

Thanks in advance,

Luca

Apps do not select the language, they just provide a set of choices. Then, iOS is looking into you language preferences and will select the one to use... So to get English, you need to make English a higher priority than Italian in iOS Settings. This in turn will switch to English completely - including iOS.

So probably not a good solution. The Italian translation has been done by a translation service probably not aware of racing terms... In case you want to suggest specific changes, please let me know. I can send you the translation files too, so you can change it directly. Just an option...

Dear Harry,

I will try to translate the files if I'm able. So if you want you can send them to my email address.
if I have problems, I will choose the easy way to suggest you specific changes.

However it's strange that it is not possible to release the app language from the iOS language.
