Hy LHT Community,
i´ve already red a lot about the video overlay, but i´m not able to manage it properly
I´m using a HTC One mobile with Laptimer, in addition i have a GoPro Hero 2 HD for video filming.
When i try to overlay a film within HLT I can choose the video ( preview picture is available ) but i already get a red screamer and the information that the Vid is 0 seconds long and is ubnknown. When trying to open it, i get an error saying Mediatyp not supported.
I tried several formats with several programs, all didn´t bring me the selected success.
When exporting the vid and the HLT files i could easy create a vid with Racerender, but the Layout of the gauges is not that beautiful like in HLT.
What else can i try, to overlay the vid with an Android phone and HLT?
Thanks in advance for your help

The video in question has been recorded using the HERO2 or using HLT on HTC One?
Sounds like a video format incompatibility... What is the file size of the video?

Hi Harry,
thanks for your quick reply.
Video was taken with the Gopro,
size is roughly somethin about 500mb for this lap. ( NOS BTG )
I already tried different resolutions and formats ( for example mp4 predefined for iphone, wmv for hd videos )

For this lap, or overall? For the current version of LapTimer [Android], the overall file size needs to be 2 GB or smaller. For the upcoming v19, this limit will most probably go away. In case you have ffmpeg installed on your desktop, please post what
says.

Hi,
The first video reports 9 minutes length and a video bitrate of 8192 kb/s which should make a file around 500MB. There is nothing wrong for this description... The second video will not be recognized by LapTimer as it comes with a .wmv extension (although the video lib will most probably be able to process it).
I'd suggest to try it again once v19 gets available. It comes with a new version of the video lib and no 2GB limit...
Please give me 1 or 2 days (depends on other stuff, not the android app) and it will be available.
In case it fails again, we will check the log for the exact issue.
