can't turn it off

OK this may be the stupidest noob question ever...
Just ran LapTimer for the very first time. Created an "autocross" course from my house to a few blocks away. Recorded a run and looked at data. Shut down the app. Now every time I turn the app back on it shows the picture and prompt for me to progress the starting area. Also shows the number of feet my phone is away from the starting point. For the life of me I can't find an "end session" button.
Please help... I'm prepared to be embarrassed.

There is no session on/off setting in LapTimer. To get rid of the staging directions, you need to remove the triggers defined by the assistant. To do this, goto Lap List, scroll to your AX track and swipe delete the row showing "User defined track set" (or similar).
