Camera orientation for PC users

Hi Harry,
You may or may not run into this issue. I assume you're using Apple based hardware so videos and photos automatically orientate themselves based on the iPhone's EXIF data. However, I'm using windows 7 and I'm in the very annoying position of having to re-orientate videos because they're taken upside down. Windows does not watch for EXIF data and it's a huge pain in the ass. Is there any way you can implement a feature that would have the iPhone automatically hard encode video based on the orientation of the screen? An app that addresses a similar concern is called Camera+ on the appstore.
One could argue that taking video with the volume buttons pointed downward would be the simple answer, however, the way my dock mounts to my car I get a lot of visual interference in that orientation. When the volume buttons are oriented up, the camera is lower and avoids having my mount in the video frame.
Please let me know if this request comes across as unclear. It's specific to windows users, and as far as I have read, only affects windows 7 and previous. But let's be honest here, who uses windows 8 anyway? =P
