Hi Harry,
I can't seem to be able to get the video show up on the petrolhead edition of the app. (upgraded from Rookie).
I put my video both of the file directories mentioned in the app and when try to add video I do not see it. It's physically there from a root explorer application but it's not showing up on Harry's video list.
Any ideas?
I love to get some overlay in!
Thanks,
Derek

Please check if the file extensions are either ".mp4" or ".mov" (small letters).

Thanks Harry.
Since GoPro outputs files in full caps, perhaps you could change it to case insensitive?
Thanks! Wish I noticed my GPS was not calibrated right as I see the track is a straight line.. and it mentions an external GPS which I do not have..

Hi,
Next version will allow .MOV and .MP4 in addition. The recording above is "no recording". This is not related to calibration (of acceleration) as used in LapTimer. GPS simply needs a free view to the sky and you probably didn't have that? Please run a Check Database from the Lap List (bottom if list / options menu). For Android, you will always see an "External" sensor, that's a limitation as LapTimer cannot detect the source from the recordings.

I had the phone mounted on the left side of my gauge cluster. Is this not adequate for the GPS and it needs to be in the dead middle?Harry wrote:Hi,

I tried Check Data at the bottom of the list and it did not report any problems. I think I will just buy an external GPS next time around, but I would like to get the Moto X to work without one for the time being. I remember speaking to you about the Moto X GPS being incapable of running the software back in V17 but your documentation no longer mentions that the phones being a problem anymore.

It is better to mount the device in the middle of the windscreen as the A pillar will shield satellites. If I remember right, the MotoX did not allow access to NMEA data? Access to the standard location service has been added some versions ago, so this should work.

Next time around I will position the cell phone in the center of the car. Thanks for the wonderful app Harry!Harry wrote:It is better to mount the device in the middle of the windscreen as the A pillar will shield satellites.
