Hi, I have HLT (petrolhead for android) installed in an LG L70 smartphone and have two issues with the video part:

1) The resulting quality of video after overlaying the HLT data is very poor and with squares all over when watched on the phone itself, Master (original not overlaid) videos are OK
2) If I transferfer the videos to my MAC the original (master) plays ok but the overlaid ones will not play at all.

I've tried a couple of different ways to transfer the to the MAC but always get the same result.

Help please!

1) Switch Overlay Quality to a higher level in LapTimer's Settings. It is all about file size / compression and resulting quality.

2) Try VLC instead of QuickTime. The vids generated by the video library seem to be not compatible with QT.

Thanks Harry I did something similar to what you recommend for the downloaded files (to the MAC) but instead used Smart Converter (http://www.shedworx.com/smart-converter) to convert the overlaid file to a quick time .mov file and it worked like charm. The rerpoduction quality on the phone is still bad but I will try to change the ovelay quality and see if it improves.

Converting the video will mostly reduce quality (decoding / encoding) - just to keep that in mind.
