Hi Harry!

This APP has worked great for me until yesterday.

Example of my first track day:

But yesterday, when i overlay the video, everything works, except it does not show my track position on the overlay:

What am i doing wrong? I thought i did everything the same... But now, no track position.

That's strange as the lap obviously has GPS recorded (the track shape is derived from this). Can you please check the lap's data recordings for something that looks strange? Please select the lap preview in Lap Details, and check the Map as well as all the Charts. In addition, please check if the current track selected has an influence on the current position's visibility: select the Timer View, press the small wrench icon, and check which lap is selected currently. In case it is not the same track as that the lap is belonging to, please select this track. Try the overlay afterwards (revert to the raw video first).

Im wondering if i missed a message that may have popped up the first time i hit overlay button...


I used auto-start recording all day, so im pretty sure it knew i was at mission raceway....

LapTimer switches to the correct track set automatically when recording. This is not the problem. My question has been if the problem occurs too when Mission Raceway is selected (like in picture #4) when running the overlay.

I see. So in lap list, mission was always selected as the track. Then i scrolled down and clicked 'overlay'. I even confirmed, reverted, and overlaid again. Same results.

O.k., so please export one lap that doesn't show the green dot to .hlptrl and send it to me. I will run an overlay and check if I can reproduce that behavior. Which video resolution did you use for the video? Please add a note / a reference to this thread so I know what the export is about.

Ok i will figure that out tonight harry.

Also, i just recorded a new 15 second video, using unspecified track (just a city street) and to my surprise, reproduced the problem!, no green dot. And it worked before on unspecified city street 1 month ago.


The one difference, i just realised, is i changed from HD to Full HD.

I will test this. Maybe the bug is because Of 1080p.

No, I doubt it is related to the resolution, I just wanted to know to reproduce your situation as close as possible. One more thing you may check: please reload the Mission Raceway track set and retry the overlay. I remember this issues happened before (on iOS) and it has been due to track set / data configuration. If only I could remember what it has been exactly...

OK, Hi again Harry. It was not the resolution, you were right.

I did some testing. I cannot overlay ANY lap with a green dot on the map anymore. Even laps that i overlaid a month ago worked, but now they dont.

Original overlay (uploaded to YouTube in April):

Today i overlaid a lap from that same track-day, I did it in April, and it worked. Today it did not:

And just to be sure, I just recorded this in my work van on an unspecified track (i actually did it twice) and no luck again:

The only thing I can think of is maybe it was one of the updates (there have been two in this time period). Anyways, I will be sending you that export like you asked shortly.
