G force figures and trace

Getting very picky now I know
But I'd like to see a minus sign before the figure for deacceleration I.e -.8g.
And the trace should go negative too. Currently I believe this goes to zero only

In which display. Overall acceleration has no sign - except one selects a dominant dimension (like in the bar shown in the bottom of Timer view).

Strictly speaking, overall acceleration is still a vector quantity. The magnitude is scalar and is positive only (=(lat accel^2 + lin accel^2)^0.5). If you want the vector, it's already there in the traction circle plot.

In timer view. The graphical bar overall acceleration depicts lateral. But when you click on it the trace is of longitudinal.
?
Be nice to have option of either. On graphical and trace.

The trace also doesn't show negative G.?

In map view the circular g meter grahic shows a figure of Gforce. It woukd be nice for a minus sign to appear in front of it when in negative G.

Negative g which way? The convention is that clockwise lateral acceleration (turning right), IIRC, is negative g, i.e. to the left of the origin, as well as braking longitudinal. That would mean that the minus sign would only go away if you were accelerating and going straight or turning left. The sign is inherent in the traction circle display. A minus sign is unnecessary.

I never look at the display when I'm driving anyway. I'm too busy concentrating on driving.

Very true
