I'm trying to import my GoPro Hero 3+ video for overlaying. I read the transferring videos page, but need help on:

5.Once the video is converted, add the MultiCam ID / tag to the video. The picture below shows a sample using VLC - a free video viewer. To identify the MultiCam ID to be entered, check the Video Details of your lap. It is probably easiest to press the small question mark button directly to the left of the "OFFLINE VIDEO" thumbnail

Is the MultiCam ID the link field? For example, mine appears to be DDH-EFE93CF-GP?

I am using VCL to tag the video. Which field should the link go in?

Does the GoPro filename have to be changed?

Can I use iBrowser to move the GoPro file to my iPhone 4s? If so, which directory should it be placed in?

There are actually two approaches described in http://www.gps-laptimer.com/LapTimerDoc ... hapter.pdf

1) add multi cam://cloud/DDH-EFE93CF-GP into the Genre metadata field and transfer the GoPro video to the iPhone
2) transfer the GoPro video to the iPhone and use the re-link function to direct the existing link to the GoPro video

In both versions, the filename is actually not relevant. The usual way to transfer the video to the iPhone is to use iTunes syncing. This will not only copy the video over to the Photo library (! make sure you use Photo sync including video) but make sure the video format can be used on the iPhone in addition. As an alternative, you may copy the video into LapTimer Documents folder, LapTimer will use it with either 1) and 2) Please take case the filename has no spaces included. Important: in case the video encoding or container used for the video is not supported by iOS, LapTimer's behavior is undefined and it may crash.

Thanks, that worked great! The file format that was sent via iBrowse was .m4v (MP4 video).

My GoPro video was recorded in high def (1920x1080). Knowing that this was much more than needed for PIP, I resized it with Handbrake to 720x400. But what would be the best size to send to the iPhone?

For PiP, please use SD which is usually 640x480.
