Android screen times out when setting autocross start/stop

Android 4.4.2. When setting the start and stop points, the screen will turn off. After waking the screen the autocross start/stop points screen is not displayed and the starting point has been lost. Looked in advanced settings but I don't see a way to keep the screen on. It does stay on when driving.
Thanks!

Are you on the latest bug fix release? I thought I had added some additional time some time ago. Please let me know if this happens for the current version (18.0.15) and I will check that again. As a workaround, touch the assistant hover sometimes (not outside as this will close the assistant too). Furthermore there is a setting somewhere in Android's Setting app to define the time until the device goes to power saving.

Also noticed that my bluetooth sensors are not being saved after a reboot. Happened last night while testing and tried it again and it did it again. Not a big deal as they're easy to add back but I've read your comment somewhere that it's a one time setting so I figured you'd like to know.

Bluetooth devices added should stay... The setting is stored once LapTimer is sent to background using either the Home button, or multiple Back button presses. Only in case LapTimer crashes before backgrounding the app like this, it will not store that configuration. Please let me know if you can reproduce that loss of configuration and what exactly your steps are? As a developer, it is always possible to miss a certain usage pattern that is familiar to others.

That worked. I haven't had any crashes and I know I had hit the home button after adding them but did it just now without any timing being done and they saved. Thanks!

Keeping the screen on is still an issue though. When setting up autocross start/stop. Also tried the today update and it still goes to sleep. Thanks!

Any time frame of when this might be fixed? What seems like it would work better would be for the software to save the state of autocross setup. That way when screen times out and you go back in and hit autocross it would pull it back up at the same point.
We autocross at Roebling Road here in GA several times a year and doing the course walk while wiggling a finger on the screen is not very practical because it takes about 15 min to walk. I usually walk and then make a separate quick walk to set the start and end points but all of that really detracts from the apps usefulness for autocross.
Otherwise great app! I need to play with the trigger width because my videos frequently cut off from coming too close to the end point but I believe that's just settings. Thanks!
