Is it possible to disable the continous AutoFocus functionality of Android video recording?
there's an option to do that in the build in video recording app.
The continious focussing back and forth drives you MAD

Also the picture stabilization needs to be possible to be disabled.
Stablilizing a fast moving scene is an impossilbe task.
I've tried it on an S3 and S4.

yes, I'm captain slow......

...and I wasn't able to get the Data overlay working.
It somehow does absolutely nothing.

Open the Video View. Press the small wrench / options button in the top right. LapTimer offers focus lock, exposure lock, stabilizer enabling / disabling here. Availability depends on your cam's capabilities.

I have one more question about the Video settings.

They get reset everytime I leave the Video dialog and enter it again.
So Autofokus fixiert is set to aus over and over again.
Is this by design?
Doesn't it save my setting?

Also Video Stabilisierung is greyed out on a Samsung S4 LTE (GT-I9505) but the settigng is available in the build in camera app.
On an S3 (GT-I9300) the Video Stabilisierung is available in Lap Timers video settings.

The setting is stored but gets overridden once you switch between Front and Rear cam. Most Front cams do not allow fixed focus and exposure (or stabilization), so LapTimer sets these to false.
