App crashes? HELP!

Post by uniman »

Harry

I am new to your app so apologise if I have missed something or am being stupid? :?

The app crashes every I try to record video, every time I pass a start trigger my iPhone returns to the home screen? this also happens if I try to use the manual record , when record now is pressed the phone returns to the home screen?

My set up

iPhone 4S
Tom Tom mount
XGPS160

I have removed all apps from my phone except for your lap timer & SkyPro status tool, iOS is up to date.
I am currently restoring my phone after which I will try again?

The problem remains the same even without any of the above accessories.

Please Help, thanks for your time.

Hi,

Please check if you have allowed LapTimer to access everything it wants to. This includes Photo library access, Location Service, Microphone. In case you cannot find something in this area (Settings app / Privacy), please check viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1115 and send the crash logs you find.

Thanks for your reply, LGP had access to all required. App works fine after full restore and iOS 17.0.6 update. App still crashes if I try to overlay a video including reference lap PIP? Is there a problem if the reference lap is also 1080p? Gets to 99% every time.

The only other problem is your App is clearly smarter than me ;)

Thanks for a great product, awesome customer service and your continued help :D

This is a known bug. Whenever the reference lap is linked to the same video as the lap overlaid, LapTimer runs into a crash. In version 18, LapTimer will automatically disable the reference lap PiP in cases like this. For v17.x, please turn off the reference PiP in cases like this. I have not yet found a way to read two different positions in a video at a time. The only work around is a full copy of the raw video.
