Hello everyone!
I read whole documentation, but didn't find the answer for my question, so please be so kind and help me before buying Harry's LapTimer and choosing version.
I have a night time race on friday, I don't know the track at all, because it will be reveiled just before the start and we will have one lap to do the map ourselves. On previous one I saw few guys using software on which at first they somehow record the track during warmup lap, set some kind of alerts before curves etc. and then making next laps with visible position on their previously made map. Unfortunately, I had to hurry after the race and forgot to ask the name of the app :/ The fact they used alerts and as far as i remember the look of the app - probably it was your app. Am I right? Or is it possible to do the same in the Harry's LapTimer?

Probably Harry's LapTimer... Instead of fiddling around with the LapTimer while driving - do you have a chance to approach the start / finish ahead of the race? In case this is possible, just walk there, start LapTimer's "New Track" assistant, and select "Set" to define the line. Now, once you cross this line driving, LapTimer will record automatically. The first lap will be used as the later reference, so once you start the second lap, LapTimer will continuously compare your position to the same position of the first lap and calculate if you are ahead or behind time-wise. The gap will be displayed all the time. You can define alerts too, but these are usually "yellow flags" submitted to warn peers ahead of dangerous points.

In case your track is not "closed" (i.e. has no common start and finish but separate ones, please reply so I can refine the description).

thanks for the answer. Track is "closed", in fact its the part of Poznan Track (in Poland) and some streets around, and the main reason for me to use the LapTimer (except awesome overlayed video , my pilot want to use it instead of drawing the map with curves and chicanes (which are placed on straights), so he mostly want to have map view with our position and occasional alerts/poi with chicanes. Is it possible?

My suggestion would be to download Poznan from Add-ons, rename it using the function in Lap List -> Manage List, and adjust the POIs and triggers as required (i.e. add and remove them using the Map view). For a driver this approach would not make too much sense as you do not have the time to watch a map while driving - for your co-driver this may differ. In case you just want to see the places in the map, use regular Information POIs. In case you want LapTimer to alert you (like for speed traps), select Alert POIs. Documentation is available here:
