Crash on export

Hello,

after installing the HLT-update which included the iOS7-look HLT now crashes when trying to export lap data (doesn't matter whether I click Export or Send Email).
I think the problem is my old iPad 1 (waiting for the iPad 5^^) and the small amount of memory.
All versions prior to the iOS7-update worked flawlessly.

Is there any chance to have it up and working again until my new iPad arrives?
I have a very nice lap and I don't have any chance of exporting it and analyzing it further.

Thanks in advance,
Robert

Which iOS version do you run? Furthermore, please check if you can find some crash logs / low memory logs as described here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1115 Memory is indeed a problem here, as the iPad1 features 256MB only. You may try two workarounds: 1) reboot the system ahead of LapTimer export. This will make sure it gets the max memory possible. 2) Reduce the size of export by selecting only this single lap - not sure you did this already.

i tried everything: reboot, single laps, smaller laps with less fixes (XGPS150 5Hz till the end of the week, XGPS160 then :) ).
my iPad is running the latest iOS 5 (quite old I know).
everything worked like a charm until the iOS7-look-update.

is there a chance to downgrade back to 17.3 or something?

AFAIK the new iPad 5 is arriving within a month or so. maybe I'll just have to wait and migrate my data to the new device...

i'll check for the crash logs an send them if there are any.

regards :)

here's the crash report. seems it's not only memory...

hope you'll find something so I can export my laps before getting my new iPad. :)

That's an incompatibility issue with iOS5.1 iPads... I'm not sure I can fix but will try to. Please check the AppStore update descriptions for upcoming bug fix releases.

maybe you can just use the new feature "latest compatible version": http://appleinsider.com/articles/13/09/ ... er-devices

i'd greatly appreciate a downdate to 17.3 or whatever if i could just export again... ;)

Apple will automatically provide old versions now. I'm not sure however if they will revive old versions, or keep everything starting now (i.e. 15.4).

Harry, you'd have to change the compatibility information for versions >= 17.4 to iOS 6 or newer.
Otherwise old iPads will always receive the newest versions which are unable to export data.
