Hi Harry,
I've recently added a VBOX Sport to my configuration. Ever since, the "corner" and "Straight" indicators are constantly updating. You can see it in a video here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gowWzPE9ufg
I thought it might be a conflict with the bluetooth on the GoPoint BT1, so I replaced it with a wired version I borrowed from Brennan. Same results.
When I run without the VBox, it seems to be fine. I verified that the accelerometer is calibrated on the phone (Dot is in the center) before each session.
I've got an Iphone 5 running version 7.0. Latest version of HLT (17.4.3), GoPoint Wired interface, and the VBox Sport.
Are there any special settings I should be looking at?
Thanks,
Ed.
Constant Corner/Straight updates in video
Re: Constant Corner/Straight updates in video
The min / max speeds are bumpy because the OBD speed is bumpy. LapTimer uses OBD speed for display and min / max calculation when available. One of the early v17 Versions of LapTimer generated these bumpy speeds (overflow when more than one speed has been delivered by the car's bus). Please check your LapTimer version and update from AppStore. In case you had not v17.1.5 or 17.4.1 installed when recording the lap shown, that is the reason. In case the recording has been done with 17.1.5 or 17.4.1 this is a different error we need to further investigate.
1) Please check versions and let me know.
2) To get a better overlay for the lap already recorded, please turn off OBD overlay when LapTimer brings up the "Overlay Configuration" view.

Re: Constant Corner/Straight updates in video
Fixed - Under "Expert Settings" I changed Speed from "Measured" to "Calculated".
With that, everything looks great!
Thanks Harry!

Re: Constant Corner/Straight updates in video
Actually that is wired - in the video above clearly has bumpy OBD speed (not GPS speed). So calculated vs. measured should have no effect, especially with existing data... For the VBOX, the speed calculation option will usually result in inaccurate speeds...

Re: Constant Corner/Straight updates in video
Hi Harry,
I made no attempt to go back and fix the older video or session data. I was at the track yesterday, made the change and verified the new data. So far all of the speeds I'm seeing in the video correlate with the corner exit speeds I noted while on track.
I'll post a link to a new video when I get it uploaded.
Thanks,
Ed.
