how to manually stop a lap that has started with a trigger

Today, I tried to drive to the office and record my time.

The START trigger I setup in front of my house worked fine to automatically start the stopwatch.
Sadly, the STOP trigger I defined in front of the office did not work. I then wanted to stop the lap manually, but could not find any button to do so.
I then hit the "Cancel" button on the stopwatch view, but this discarded all data and my lap was not stored.

:?: Where is the magic "STOP" button that can manually force the completion of a lap?

thanks for your help ,
Frédéric

Yes, this is true of a final track lap.

If you do three laps, then come off into the pit lane, what do I press?

The timer will keep going??? Yes / No??

Thanks
Ed.

Hi,

The concept is that laps started automatically need to be stopped automatically - or canceled. The stop button is available only if the lap was started manually. Reason for this is that LapTimer tries to keep automatic recordings consistent - same length each, comparable.

If you hit cancel, do you lose all the data? If you have done three laps and pit laned for the fourth will you lose the three full laps?

Thanks
Ed

No, this will certainly cancel the incomplete last lap only.
