workflow suggestion please (large files, little space left)
I use the app to record my HPDE events, I typically go out 4 or 5 times for 25-30 minutes. I end up with 4 or 5 large video files as the app records the entire session and have no wiggle room to get the remote cams onto the main iphone 5 and no space for overlays... I ended up purging 2 of yesterdays sessions to free up room but I am looking for a way to avoid that in the future.
Is there a way to transfer the main raw video file + all the data required to overylay properly (with ODB2) and possibly the remove video from the 2nd iphone to my PC? I would ideally create a directory per session that has all the needed data/videos and then remove all but the one I am working on from my iphone. Once done with 1 I can then purge that and load the next one and so on.
I could even take my laptop to the track and off load after every session...
I am familiar with iexplorer, ifunbox and am pretty tech savvy - looking for either a workflow suggestion or the path and names of the files I need to copy from my iphone
Thanks.

Re: workflow suggestion please (large files, little space le
You basically just need to move around the video files. Look for the Laptimer folder in var, mobile, Aplications (if I remember right). In the Laptimer App folder you will find a documents folder. That's where you find the video files (.mov). Simply move them on / off your iPhone, same for the multicam videos. Laptimer will automatically link them to the according laps.

is there a database file to go with each video ? in case I wanted to make a back up for future use (future overlay etc)
or should I email myself the export file and save that with the video?

The database doesn't take any significant space...I wouldn't bother with that...it's a complete database by the way and not by lap or session. Sure you can export it as you need it...but deleting laps won't free up space like you're in need of.

good info. thanks!
Re: workflow suggestion please (large files, little space le
one more question while I am at it:
can I take removed .mov files and upload them to the same directory? or must they be synced via the itunes photo sync (pain in the butt) ?

You can move around the .mov files as you like (and the Multicam videos too) directly through iExplorer etc. No need to use iTunes.
Re: workflow suggestion please (large files, little space le
its track season again....
can multi cam videos be moved from remote iphones to the main iphone in the same manner? will I need to make any changes to the name or "genre" tags?

Yes, that is possible instead of using iCloud (but why?). No need to tag either as MultiCam tags the file automatically.
