If you use Wifi for GoPro, you will have to go for a Bluetooth OBD device like the Gopoint BT1. Look here for more information:

Oddly, you cannot connect both at the same time...

Really? So no additional Gadgets at all via Bluetooth as long as a Gopro is connected via Wifi? I was sure a friend of mine was doing just that...must have been a second iOS device as Multicam then and all connected via Bluetooth...

My answer has been on the initial question which mentioned a GoPro and a wifi OBD. This combination is not possible.

as i thought, frustrating how you can make one join the other!
IF I manually kick off the go pro, im presuming no real way of using the footage with laptimer as be difficult to match times up ?

Yes you can. You need to convert your Gopro video to an iOS compatible format, sync your photos including the video(s) via itunes, edit the lap you want and add the Gopro video from the camera roll, set the end of the according lap within the video (which can be done down to picture by picture selection in Laptimer).

Surely it's going to be difficult to match if I manually kick it off?

It is actually like all common overlaying software (with little exceptions, like LapTimer) do it. It is inconvenient, but can be done.
