Support for "Fitness" Sensors

It'd be cool to add ANT+ (Wahoo dongle) and Bluetooth fitness sensors. I love using the app in the car -- but it'd be even better to use on bikes and running. None of the GPS apps I have tried allow the 5-20hz gps data that makes video overlays look oh so great.

It'd also be pretty neat to log my heartrate while driving to see where it goes during near misses :)

Useful ANT+ sensors:
Heartrate
Cadence/speed
Footpod
Temperature (Garmin Tempe)

I want this support too. I use a LOW BATTERY BLUETOOTH HEART RATE MONITOR (Generic bluetooht HR to iPhone), and need to use another render software after Harry's to mix the information.

Is a usefull information in motorcycle, due the results are worst when tired, it's important to see when the body have better HR.

Apple announced their new Health Kit for iOS8. Although the iOS8 application programming interface to use is available for developers already, the sensors compatible to the new Health Kit are not available or known so far. I'm happy to take any input and suggestions on this thread as I definitely want to add this feature for 2015, but can't recommend anything so far.

Sensors available today that are not compatible with Health Kit will most probably not receive support by LapTimer in the future. This certainly depends on feasibility of using Health Kit for an app like LapTimer at all, but needs to be the strategy to not generate lots of integration efforts for just a small portion of the market.

This means it make probably sense to wait for Christmas :-)

A big "Second!" to this request. I just got a Bluetooth LE (low-energy, aka "smart" BT, aka BT 4.0) strap and it's really slick. Quickly browsing amazon results for heartrate monitors shows this protocol is rapidly taking over the market as the standard, and prices are quickly coming down so they're soon to be everywhere as people move into smartphones that support it. I've already been loving HLT for motocross and hare scramble racing on my android, but the addition of HR logging would make it unstoppable as a motocross training app!! What are the chances of this really happening by Christmas?
