Hi everyone.
How are you finding the iphone 5 for GPS accuracy? I used the 3GS with the tom tom cradle which seemed to work fine.
They don't do a tom tom cradle for the iphone 5 yet. But been looking at the different mounts. See the ram mounts in the compatibility list. Twist and lock mounts scare me as the cheap one off ebay I got, don't seem to stick very well. Though not a ram mount one. Is the ram mount suction good?
Would like one that is compatible with the GO Pro mounts I have. But only ones I've found (Life Proof) require there own case first, then buy the adapter. I have this suction mount already. Could pick a car up with it!

Please let me know you thoughts.
Iphone 5 GPS accuracy & mounts
Re: Iphone 5 GPS accuracy & mounts
Actually two topics: the iPhone5 GPS seems to be pretty much the same as the iPhone4S's Both are by far better than the iPhone3G/3GS chips, but probably not as good as the TomTom has been. Recommendation can be found here: www.gps-laptimer.de/Compatibility.html including a RAM Mount that works.

Re: Iphone 5 GPS accuracy & mounts
what about the iphone 5s gps ? I used to use the iphone 4 with the tomtom - would it be the same as that?
thanks
thanks
Re: Iphone 5 GPS accuracy & mounts
I have not seen a lot differences since the iPhone 4. But I ran no tests either.... As a dedicated GPS, the TomTom has been better than any internal smartphone GPS I have seen so far.

Re: Iphone 5 GPS accuracy & mounts
whats the cheapest one?
Re: Iphone 5 GPS accuracy & mounts
Well with some adapters and changes to the case I made it fit !xps911 wrote:annoying i cant make the 5 fit it, be ideal then
however... first of all the iphone 5s says this accessory is not supported by this iphone.
second laptimer picks it up!
third, go to main lap timer screen, it stops working/disconnects it and no longer shows on sensor list:(
oh well. I'm on track this weekend, so will use the internal gps and see how I get on
