[quote="Harry"]Thanks, will see if I run a beta test / external test program. Appreciate your (and fluppie's) offer :-)

Thanks for implementing the support for the BT1.

On your recommendation, I also got the xgps150a

Unfortunately, they won't pair with my outdated iPhone 3GS with iOS 3.0.1. I am waiting to see what the iPhone 5? looks like to decide what to do next.

They will pair with my iPad 2 and I purchased lap trainer for the iPad.

While lap trainer will see the gps and shows a constellation of 11 gps satellites I don't get a position fix and the gps update rate remains 0.0Hz. Is this known/expected behavior? The xgps150 documentation mentions the "first generation" iPad explicitly having Bluetooth SPP support. So I am worried that the 2nd gen is missing it.

Perhaps I should start a new thread?

Thanks,

I'd suggest to contact Dual support on this. Why don't you upgrade your iPhone to a recent iOS? Expect most apps to be optimized for recent iOSes and 3.0 is more than outdated.

I notice on the GoPoint site there is:

GoPoint BT1 Bluetooth

and

GoPoint BT1A Bluetooth: Works with Apple and Android!

Just double checking that the "BT1" is the correct one ?

Thanks!

Assuming you are only working with Apple devices then yes, BT1 is what you want.

Both work with iPhones. The BT1A features a faster BT component and will add a little advantage in terms of update rate (maybe 1 Hz, not a magnitude).
