I am trusting it will be supported soon. I am with bestlap, is it best to have cabled GPS and bt obdII or bt GPS and cabled obdII or just bt both?

As long as I have not tested two BT connection at the same time, I cannot give a recommendation here.

I got my BT1 the other day. It's working well with the included apps. Looking forward to Lap Timer support!

So, I have a first integration with goPoint's BT1 up and running for my development version. Although the update rate seems to be in the same range as the Kiwi, it is pretty convenient to operate. It is plugged into the OBD port without a cable and thus does not disturb you. It has an automatic power on / off and can be kept in the port permanent. When powered up, it beeps, so you are aware it is around. Finally, the BT connection is coming up seamlessly and does not block internet access like the Wifi dongles do. So all in all pretty promising, will keep you posted.

Expect goPoint BT1 and GL1 support in LapTimer v16 (I will not comment on schedule, but will be in 2012).

Great news, Harry! Thanks! Let me know if you need beta testing. I have the BT1, a Dual GPS, and the TomTom GPS. Oh, and an iPod Touch 3G.

Might be getting an iPhone when the Virgin Mobile deal starts.

Interesting....

The way I see it:

Setup 1:

DualXGPS150
GL1 OBD2

Pros: Charges the iPhone, No interference with the obd data
Cons: Wires (can be tucked away)

Setup 2:
BT1 OBD
Emprum Ultimate GPS

Pros: No wires, easy setup. Better GPS data due to direct connection. Extremely Neat installation, easy to get on and off.
Cons: No Charging the iPhone, Cannot use extended batteries, Highest battery drain due to Emprum Piggy back and BT activity. Dran can be around 25%-30%/10 mins of use. Possible overheat? Overheat = loss of data and video.

Alternative, add the intermediate dongle posted above to avoid the battery issues, but you would still have wires running around, although not through the feet (security concern)

Going the option 2 route

The con's can be converted into the #1 setup and GPS data is much more important than obd data. Besides cables through the legs, could cause an accident.
