Um..... Ignore this drivel as the ranting of an insufficiently caffienated coffee junkie...

Sometimes I think too hard. I didn't *SUBMIT* the form on their link, I emailed them asking if it mattered if I knew my serial number (I don't -- the sticker got ripped off the back of the device as a side effect of an ill-advised experiment with some velcro).

If you just submit the form with "unknown" for the serial number, you get the links to the downloadable firmware. Everything installed fine, although the only odd thing was that I had to go download a device driver from a website in Taiwan, which makes the paranoid conspiracy theorist in me nervous.

I have the XGPS150 connected to HLT at 4.8 Hz now, and I'll report on my efforts to get it working when I get back on Monday.

Sorry to diss Dual on your forum, when the problem was entirely with the user (me :-P)

Success!!! After updating the firmware on the XGPS150, it worked perfectly on Monday at Lime Rock Park.

OK, not perfectly -- I got complete data for 2 sessions, and HLT crashed 4 laps into the other one (I had to slip the 4th session after hearing strange noises coming from my chassis... heading to the shop today :-( ).

I've got this entire process with HLT, RaceRender2, iMovie and DVD-Creator worked out pretty well now. The results are complete videos of each section, with edited versions uploaded to YouTube, and a DVD for personal use as an archive (the video is starting to fill my laptop up pretty quick -- this let's me wipe it all out, and save the DVD for future study).

Here's the two I just posted from Monday's runs:

Harry do you have a section of the forum for people to post videos like this? Might be kinda cool....
