Hi Harry,

I reported the same issue to you via Email on 10.03.2011! There is a Problem with the Header and Data Start Line in the Profile! I think you changed the CSV export or so...
I edited the Profile and now its working fine.

i attached the edited Profile and the original one...test it!
@e_loco: extract the attached profile (Harry's Lap Timer.rar) and replace it with yours and it will work fine!
(you find original file in: C:\ProgramData\ChaseCam\DashWare\DataProfiles)

@Harry: The _origin is the original Profile, which comes with DashWare 1.1.72!

TomMurray wrote:Hi Harry,

In regards to video overlays, on my iPhone 4 (using RAM motorcycle mount) I'm getting a very 'rippled' and shakey video. Do you have any recommendations for smoothing this out or is this an issue with the iPhones video recorder?

Regards,

Tom.

I'm having this same problem, any suggestions?

Hi,

I think vibrations are higher / at another frequency on a motorbike.
As I sold my Aprilia two years ago, my motorbike tests are rare today.

Maybe someone else can give a hint?

I think this is just an iphone issue. I took my ipod nano to the track and zip tied it to my brake fluid resevoir. Video came out fine... well, a lot better than the 'rippled' iphone video.

I hope this isn't too much of a silly question :) I recorded a video with an external camera, and sync'd it to my iPhone 3GS with iTunes. The playback on my iPhone is just fine, but the sync didn't put the video in the "Camera Roll", it put it in a new folder.

However, when I try to associate it with a lap, it does not show up. Only the vids in my "Camera Roll" are visible. Do videos have to be in the Camera Roll in order to be associated with a lap for overlay?

Two possible reasons: either you use an old version of LapTimer (there was a problem with this Photo folders in one of the 12.x versions), or you've synced the video while LapTimer was in background. In the later case, kill the LapTimer process (from Springboard, by pressing Home twice etc.) and restart it again. You will see all videos you see in your Photo app.

Thanks for the reply, Harry.

I'm not sure what I did wrong...I got the latest version 13.3 and iOS is 4.3.2 as well. I tried starting again, deleting the old vid, renaming it, putting it in a new folder, and then sync again. I can playback the vid on the iPhone just fine, but it's not appearing in the Lap Details.

The vid was recorded as a .mov and converted to mpeg-4 though. Is Laptimer only compatible with certain video formats?

Hi Harry

Thanks for offering to help, but I figured it out.

I didn't realise that the video had to be saved in the iTunes folder on my PC. If you save it under My Pictures, it is visible from within iTunes, and you can successfully sync it to the phone, and it will even play back on the phone with no problems. But for some reason the Lap Timer doesn't register it.
