Will there be a new MultiCAM app download or does HLT18.3.6 fix the problem of getting the multicams to record? I also understand the cloud function WILL work but after the files transfer to the master, I will have to relink.
All this is possible with IOS8.1, HLT 18.3.6 and MultiCam V17.0, right? Any issues with wifi to go pro and Bluetooth to DUAL XGPS160 and GoPoint BT1 under this configuration?
As written, there will be a MultiCam 18.3.6 app which (hopefully) does not crash. As long as iOS8 does not store the metadata, you will need to use the relink function however. Automatic sync will work nevertheless.
I am currently trying to transfer multicam vids from my Iphone6 (satellite) to my Iphone5 (master), and it's not working. This used to work I haven't got it to successfully work since January.
Testing during v19 beta and it works if iCloud is configured correctly (on both phones). I released a new v19 of MultiCam too. To allow cloud to transfer the files, please make sure both phones are in a WiFi with connection to the Internet.
Everything is configured how i've been doing this for the past year:
Both phones are on the same wifi network
Master is configured to 'use icloud' and 'auto receive videos'
Satellite phone is configured to 'use icloud' and 'auto send videos'
Both phones have the latest updates for Grand Prix and Multicam apps.
My issue is, on the satellite phone, my videos are still in the 'multicam icloud'. When i look at the location, it says "Local + Remote". The videos aren't that big (about 1min each) and there are only 6 of them. I've never had to wait 2 days for videos of this size to transfer before, more like 2hrs.
I had the same issue 2 weeks ago when I tried to record track video, but gave up after a week of waiting for them to automatically transfer over and erased the vids on the satellite phone. The above is me trying to use it again, but still nothing works.
So other than that, let me know if there is another setting that I am forgetting or if I set it up wrong.

Yes, you can do that and use iTunes File Sharing for easy copying. The disadvantage is you need to sync them yourself. The next version of MultiCam will have iTunes File Sharing enabled too, this will allow a manual copy with the videos in sync automatically.
ICloud is one option that transfers from various devices. I prefer not to use it. As Harry mentioned the next version of MultiCam will iTunes file sharing enabled. What I do now is the following:
1) Download the multicam video to Photos
2) Use Ifunbox to pull the file to my MAC
3) Use Ifunbox to pull the file to into the master, i.e HLT GP documents directory
4) Open the run session on RELINK the video to the session
Works 100% all the time. ICLoud takes forever but using Ifunbox I know what is being transferred at USB3.0 speeds.
