Step by step please... You start with a lap with the internal cam recorded video only? Or do you have both the internal cam and the GoPro (showing NO ViDEO in the beginning)?

Harry; I guess I am not as smart as Rookie is. I still canot get both videos to show up. After recording, which works great now by the way, I down load the go pro video to the iphone. I then go into HLT and relink the go pro video to the one recorded on HLT. Then go in and delete go pro video from PIP slot. Then add the video back in to the pip slot. then press edit, and switch the master and pip. All appears fine at this point. I then press overlay and it gives me a succesful notice. When I go to view it I see the go pro video with the recorded data, but no pip from the video hlt recorded.
I must be doing something wroung as I see other people succeding at this. Was also wondering what the time frame for apple to approve the update is?
Thanks for your patience with me.
Phil

Something odd is happening. I went through the process which worked for me before, but when the overlay finished, the master and the PIP were identical. Both were the iPhone recordings rather than a GoPro master and an iPhone PIP. Trying again. This time I relinked before overlaying. This time the PIP was not the same as the master, but the iPhone video was still the master and the GoPro was the PIP, even though I had changed the order before overlaying.
Edit: Tried again and this time it worked.

The current version 18.0.xx screws up video linked using a MultiCam metadata field for association. That should be fixed in 18.1 (which is still in review).

Ok - I have similar problems. I have a GoPro 3+ and the latest version - 18.3 Gran Prix of laptimer.
- Have set gopro to app control with password
- Have linked wifi on iphone to the gopro (is actively connected)
- Have set laptimer to discover multicams - on
- Tried to reset password and change a few times to just letters on the gopro and updated laptimer
Please help - this is why I got this app (to use with the gopro).
Thanks, David

It is almost always a problem with the password. When entering the video view, you should get the GoPro placeholder. When pressing the small red button, the HERO needs to start. Please recheck the "Preparing GoPro HERO MultiCam Devices for Recording" section in
http://www.gps-laptimer.com/LapTimerDoc ... hapter.pdf, there are no known problems.

I think I have tried everything - I have even downloaded/reset the gopro. I am sure of the password and it is all alpha (no numbers, spaces or special characters) and is 8 characters long. The HLT app puts a space in the characters after the first 6 characters but I think this is just a display issue.
Here are my settings:
- First I turn on the wifi on goprop
- Second - validate the connection to the gopro app (video is set to 1080, 60 fps and NTSC
- Third - turn off the camera and leave the wifi on from the gopro app
- Fourth - close the gopro app
- 5th - open hlt (v18.3) and agree to conditions
- Review settings - video resolution - 1280x720 - 720p HD, discover multicams - on, multicam preset - Master (Max resolution), gopro wifi password - same as wifi password on gopro
- 6th - close HLT app and reopen
- 7th go to timer and video and manually start
Never does the goprop do anything in response to the app.

This means the HERO cannot be contacted at IP address 10.5.5.9 or another address override in LapTimer -> Settings -> Expert Settings -> Video Tweaks -> GoPro WiFi Host. This is the step *before* using the password. Can you please check the GoPro's IP and LapTimer's Expert Setting?
