Just load the track set. LapTimer will show the track set in the Maps view after loading. Here, you can see if the track is defined with or without a direction:
In case triggers show up as small flags, the triggers have no direction (=0 as bulls mentioned). It will work in both directions using the detection corridor you set in LapTimer's Settings. In case the triggers show up as a small line with an arrow (should look like a starting line), the triggers have a direction and need to be passed in this direction. Most tracks have a preferred direction and are driven this direction almost always. In the US, it seems to be very popular to offer both ways. I assume these tracks will get the corresponding track sets over time.
Quick fix is named above: in case you arrive at a track set and see it is the wrong way, just change the direction attribute to 0 for all triggers of this track set.

v17.0.2 - Laps aren't recording
Re: v17.0.2 - Laps aren't recording
@bulls23 and @Harry -
Thanks for all the information. bulls23 is correct, the direction appears to be clockwise. I'm still unsure what direction we'll be running - the track day organizers usually run CW on Saturdays and CCW on Sundays (but again, I really don't know for this event).
If I get to the event and find out it's CW, I'll be set. If we end up going CCW, then I'll obviously need to do what you guys are saying. Unfortunately, I'm not quite sure where I set the trigger direction.
When I have the track loaded and am in map view, I see the 2 triggers (red arrows). When I click on them, I see a direction in degrees. In this case, Chuckwalla has 2 triggers.
#1 Start/Finish line shows direction 38deg
#2 Split trigger show direction 215deg
Are you saying that I simply set the 2 triggers above to 0deg, and it won't detect the direction...therefore I can run it CCW?
Thanks!

Re: v17.0.2 - Laps aren't recording
I think I may have answered my own question. It does look like this is where I set the direction of the triggers to 0deg. I gave it a try, and they show up as flags now, not red arrows.
So, if I get there and it's CW...I'll just use the current track set. If it's CCW, I'll modify these 2 triggers.

Re: v17.0.2 - Laps aren't recording
I just uploaded a counter clockwise configuration, you need to update your Tracks list to get it visible (top left button + Update).
Please note you must not have both loaded at the same time. So every time you download one, let LapTimer purge the other configuration. You can switch back at any time and will not lose data recordings - they are not purged.
