No plans for Windows currently. It is a huge effort to port an app like LapTimer.

Hi, I really think there is an opportunity here and I love your software but am a Windows Phone user. I race cars at an amateur level and watch youtube videos of a few of my mates with the laptimer and am very impressed with it.

I think MS provides some form of support (financial, expertise etc). Also in case you didn't know a few facts about Windows Phone...

1. You would be the first real lap timer provider on the windows phone store www.windowsphone.com - first in is a great advantage
2. It is the third most popular mobile OS worldwide
3. It is the second most popular mobile OS in the EU beating iOS in the top 5 European countries
4. It is predicted to bypass iOS by 2017 worldwide.
5. It has some of the highest app developer revenue streams of any mobile OS
6. It grew at 156% Q3/2013
6. iOS is losing market share to Android and Windows Phone

IDC Windows phone experiences 156% jump in handsets shipped for Q3 2013

Europe – 2nd place
According to Canalys Windows Phone emerged as the second biggest mobile operating system in 19 countries, including Finland (39 percent), Vietnam (16 percent), Italy (15 percent), Thailand (11 percent), Turkey (11 percent), and Russia (8 percent).

Welcome to a strong Windows / MS supporter :-)

For all interested, here is my reply to PommieAl I sent via email:
No plans for Windows so far. Its overall market share is still by far too low to allow the huge investment needed to port a big piece of software like LapTimer. Just to give you an idea: a port of LapTimer to another platforms means a full year of my time… In case Windows picks up, I will certainly consider a port.
To clarify: current marketshare is 3.6%. Once MS hits 20% I will consider this additional platform. Till then, I need to work on Android to get it to the same level iOS has already. Thanks for your understanding.
