Video Sync

Post by Daniel »

Hi

I have a single GoPro recorded lap in HLT on an ip5s. I'm finding it very hard to sync the video properly. The fine adjustment to set the end point does not seem to update the footage display.

Am I missing something here or is there something I can change to make this easier?

Not that I've found.

The fine adjustment is in hundredths of a second, not frames. You need to adjust it in frame increments to get the display to change. For 30 frames/sec, that's ~0.03 seconds and 0.06 seconds for 15 frames/sec. Even then, it doesn't always work for me. To get close, I look at the time stamp for the frame I want in the editor I use to change the format. Even that, however, only gets you close.

Thank you.

I found a work around for my issue. not sure if it's a bug. But if I "close" the app by pressing the home button and then re opening the minor time advance works as expected.

I'm not sure if the pointers of the track set I used are off but I had to set the lap end points to about 1 second past when the video crosses the start finish line to get them in sync.

Can't wait for version 18 and full session overlays. :)

Thanks again

Dan
