BT1 Red LED

Post by tulloch »

This morning I plugged in my BT1 to gather some data for calibration purposes. It worked fine but the red led flashed for the entire journey. Anyone got any idea what this might mean? I've emailed support but thought I'd ask here as well.

Did you check to see if there were any error codes using the BT1 app? The 'check engine' light is supposed to come on when there are error codes, but perhaps it didn't.

I got a detailed response from support as follows:
The red LED will blink a specific number of times every 250 msec. This blinking pattern is then repeated every 2 seconds.
Number of Red LED blinks
blinks 0 No iPhone connected
blinks 1 iPhone connected over Bluetooth Start IDPS (accessory identification)
blinks 2 IDPS completed Start authentication with iPhone
blinks 3 Authentication complete No data session is open
blinks 4 iPhone data session is open

Is the BT1 still available for sale?

If you mean in general, yes: I've just received mine earlier this month. But this isn't the right thread to talk about availability, I think. ;-)
