Driving without a Track

Post by chadwick »

This seems like a FAQ, but I could not find a good answer so apologizes if this was something I just missed.

Let's say I just to run the Lap Timer in a vehicle off a track, and start recording right now, and stop when I decide to stop. What's the right way to use Lap Timer in that scenario?

In standard configuration LapTimer has a manual recording (go and stop) available in Video View and the classic Stoppwatch view. To add manual operation to all timer views, please enter LapTimer Settings and enable "Manual Operation". The rest is easy: simply press the large "Go" and "Stop" and "Split" buttons that get available. As LapTimer does not get a hint on the track the lap should be stored to (this is usually available from triggers defined), you need to set the current track manually: select the small wrench in any of LapTimer's timer views (top left) and select any track for storage.
