exporting .vbo file into Circuit Tools 2 - Missing splits

Help on issues you run into with LapTimer; in case you have a question on how to use LapTimer, use the forum "Using LapTimer" instead

exporting .vbo file into Circuit Tools 2 - Missing splits

Post by jbsGT3 »

Hi,

When I try to export one of my laps (BTG Nordschleife) as a .vbo file and load it in Racelogic's Circuit Tools version 2, then I see 6 splits (sections), but only 1 of them has data, the others are void.

Inside HLT I can see the section times fine, but not in Circuit Tools. There may be a compatibility problem ?

Cheers,
Joël

LapTimer exports raw data plus trigger information to the VBO file. CT calculates laps and splits on its own and does not use LapTimer's detection here. As the algorithms differ, CT may have problems where LapTimer has none. You may export and send me ONE lap showing this effect to both .hlptrl and .vbo so I can have a look into it.

This is what works for me in CT:

Open your VBO, click on the "CT" button on the top left, select Start/Finish wizard, click on "Gate width" until you get the right amount of splits / laps (the number is previewed under the track layout in the pop up windows of the wizard).

Thanks bulls23, I added this hint to the vbo FAQ.
