Deleting files

Post by max4558 »

Is there a quick way to delete selected lap files? I want to save the best time laps from my various tracks but want to delete the others to free up space. Sort of new to this but love it.

The fastest way to delete individual laps is swiping them in Lap List and pressing the delete button afterwards. I have a bulk deletion item on my list, but it is not yet implemented.

What do you mean by "swiping them in Lap List"?

Standard gesture in iOS: you touch and move one finger from left to right on any of the lap rows. This will bring up the delete button to commit the deletion.

Okay, got swipe figured out.....maybe my concern is not really an issue. Recently I started using the video feature (and the OBD II --- which is really cool) and obviously ran out of storage on my IPhone. So, now I delete videos and I figured out that I need to routinely delete them....unless I want to save them (and then transfer them from my phone to my computer).

So, in the spirit of cleaning up my LT videos, I realized I had almost 500 lap times in HLP (none with Videos). So I thought I ought to delete most of them to free up additional storage space. So, my question is are lap times storage hogs........if they are I guess the only way to delete them is one by one using the swipe, delete process.

The space required by the laps is comparably small, so deleting them is rarely necessary. The real space users are videos, which are best housekeeped in LapTimer's Video List.
