Reference Laps

Post by Gsyk59 »

I've been using Harry's for several months now at some HPDE events. Works great - except my Iphone always seems to overheat when recording video in this hot Texas weather. Besides that, the app is awesome. I would like to now if there is a way to look at the times for each segement from all my laps and piece together what a "perfect" lap would be? Is this a "reference lap"?

That's the so called "virtual best lap". The reference lap is the one your current drive is compared to.
To see sector times, best sector times, comparison, and calculation of the virtual best, please follow this path:

LapTimer ‣ Lap List ‣ any lap ‣ Lap Details ‣ Results ‣ Lap Time

Tap the chart once to get various display options.

Overheating is covered in LapTimer's Video documentation. Please check www.gps-laptimer.de, it is linked from the home page.

I didn't look at Harry's link so this maybe listed there, but regarding overheating if your phone is in a case that will make it much worse. Try without a case if possible.
