AutoX function - video starts after launch

So I'm at the starting position. The starter hits the ready to go button on my iphone and gives me the indication that I can charge through the course. For some reason, Lap Timer isn't starting the recording until a few moments later, basically after I've passed through the first obstacle on the course. Is this a bug?

LapTimer will always require a second to report the system has been started. That's the same when using regular triggers on tracks. LapTimer uses the accelerometer and speed changes when triggering standing gos, mostly the accelerometer will do the job
(so please check it looks good - should show zero lateral and longitudinal acceleration while standing still).
