Petrolhead GoPoint 9105 BT1 Usage
Petrolhead GoPoint 9105 BT1 Usage
I've paired the GoPoint and it shows up on Laptimer Sensor List so the bluetooth connection is working. I'm not sure if it's recording/reading information from GoPoint device though. Could someone please direct me to documentation on it's use? Do I need Grand Prix to use the OBD device?
Thank you,
Scott

Open up the video view and when the engine is running you should see the OBD overlay bottom right. Rev up and you'll see the rev counter respond.
Re: Petrolhead GoPoint 9105 BT1 Usage
Every LapTimer edition supports OBD. Please navigate to LapTimer's Sensor List and check if you see the BT1 in state "Connected" (green). When everything is up and running, you should see an update rate displayed in addition.

Thanks everyone.
Re: Petrolhead GoPoint 9105 BT1 Usage
I was mistaken. Indicator reads that it is available but no green light, it's yellow. I tried the App from the device maker and it sees it there and registers rpms, etc. Is there a firmware update maybe for the GoPoint gadget? Thanks.
Re: Petrolhead GoPoint 9105 BT1 Usage
Yes, there is an update available (optimized for LapTimer v17). Install one of the GoPoint apps (I believe it is BT1) and install this new firmware. Actually LapTimer should work with the old firmware version too, but there seems to be a problem...

Re: Petrolhead GoPoint 9105 BT1 Usage
I've updated the firmware for the goPoint BT1 (model 9105), but no dice. The App made by company seeing it fine and registers input from the BT1, but the Laptimer still only reads that it's available with a yellow light. No that I think of it. Could it be that only one App at a time can access the BT1?
Now that I'm writing this I'm thinking I may next try the uninstall/reinstall method for the Laptimer App.
Does it matter the make and model of the vehicle? I doubt it, but thought I might ask.
Thanks again,
Scott

Re: Petrolhead GoPoint 9105 BT1 Usage
Hi Scott,
Please wait with the uninstall until v17.0.3 becomes available. I have added some tweaks that make the parser less sensible to unexpected replies.
I'd assume the BT1 can handle one client only at a time. This will hardly happen however, at least LapTimer closes all sensor connections when sent to background making any conflict from this side impossible. I'd assume most apps do it like this.
