Re: MultiCam problem with iCloud
hi Harry,
The reason for uploading the videos including those from the Master is because I have a 16gb iPhone 4S and I didn't have enough remaining free space to download the MultiCam videos back to the Master. I know that I should have got a 64gb iPhone but there are no 64gb 4S's from the cell provider. Also, money was a factor! I wanted the 4S to have backwards compatibility with my TomTom car kit.
I thought I chose Unload when I did the transfer, but for what ever reason, both of the videos that I uploaded from the Master show as still local too. Same with the MultiCam videos. I selected Unload but the videos show as both Local + Remote on the iPhone 3 that I am using as MultiCam. Regardless, I cannot get the Master to download the Remote MultiCam video from iCloud. I have 2.8gb of free space on the 4S and the remote video is 528mb. When I go to the Video List, I can see the video is listed under MultiCam iCloud. The thumbnail shows OFFLINE with a camera icon. I click and it opens File Properties, scroll to the bottom and select Download. I have done this several time with no success.
You were correct about Cellular data being On in the iCloud settings. I must've changed it without realizing it.

Re: MultiCam problem with iCloud
Hi again,
After several reports I have found an issue with iCloud downloads. I have submitted a fix as part of LapTimer's bug fix release 17.0.2 already. Please read the details and a workaround here: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1237 Sorry for any inconvenience, this issue appears in production versions only (i.e. could not appear during beta testing).

Re: MultiCam problem with iCloud
Thanks Harry. The new version fixed the iCloud issues for me. Oddly, something caused the Master video and the MultiCam videos to invert in a couple of my sessions. Here is what I mean. The video of me was supposed to be the Pic-in-Pic and the track video was supposed to be the Master. Not a big deal, just odd.

Re: MultiCam problem with iCloud

Here we go:
1) LapTimer ‣ Lap List ‣ your lap ‣ press Revert
2) press Edit
3) drag the Master Video down or drag the Picture in Picture Video up ‣ they will change position
4) press Overlay to get what you wanted
The story behind is easy: default is to have the video recorded with the internal cam as Master. That is independent from any presets.

P.S. Please share the new one!

Re: MultiCam problem with iCloud
Hi,
I had a full day of track driving yesterday and HLT worked really well with both master and slave recording video the whole time. Now, when I got home last night and connected the devices to WiFi I expected them to sync slave video using iCloud as everything is set as standard with iCloud configured on both and with "documents and files" sync activated. Now I connected both devices to chargers and started Multicam and HLT and had them active during the night but nothing has been sent to iCloud. Should the multicam app be started and active or not active or either way? This morning I even tried manually sending it to iCloud by pressing the "Unload" button but nothing yet. All video is in the "Multicam iCloud" section on the multicam app but when I press each video it says "location- local". Any ideas to get iCloud to sync?

Hi,
Sorry, posted on Facebook only:
As a workaround it should be possible to use the Photo app to copy MultiCam videos over: move the raw video to the Photo library in MultiCam (it will be in the cloud currently). Configure iTunes to sync videos from the Photo app on your MultiCam iPhone to the desktop. Configure iTunes to copy videos to the Photo app for your LapTimer iPhone.
Once synced, LapTimer should pick up the video automatically (not tested).
Sorry for any inconvenience.

I have no idea yet why Petrolhead iCloud access go broken in v17.0.5, it worked before.LapTimer v17.0.6 is available on AppStore now. Please note there is one known issue from 17.0.5 not yet solved: LapTimer Petrolhead (both native and upgraded to Grand Prix) cannot access iCloud currently. I work on solving that issue.

Re: MultiCam problem with iCloud
I do have the Grand Prix version, not upgrade. I tried the "manual way" and it works very well. Only comment is that when I move the video to the camera roll/photo app (flower icon) the video is removed from multicam. Was a bit scared that the video would be lost at this point but through sync it worked fine.
I actually found an easier way for me. First I have to move the videos to the camera roll the same way. Then I use dropbox with automatic "Dropbox camera import" which automatically imports all video and images from the iPhone to a folder in Dropbox (Camera Uploads). I setup iTunes to sync a specific folder on my mac that I called "Harry sync" (not iPhoto folder) to the master device. I copy all the "multicam videos" from Dropbox/Dropbox Camera Import to "Harry Sync" and after sync with iTunes I can access all videos from HLT on master and they are recognized.
Still, iCloud if it was faster and more transparent would be preferred just because of the full automation that we love about HLT!

Re: MultiCam problem with iCloud
Thanks for the feedback, good to know there is another workaround / a refinement. On GP: while I can reproduce the iCloud issue with LapTimer Professional v17.0.5/6 (or upgraded GP), I cannot with Grand Prix. So please check if you have iCloud access turned on for LapTimer GP: iOS ‣ Settings ‣ iCloud ‣ Documents&Data ‣ ON, and LapTimer ‣ Settings ‣ iCloud ‣ Use iCloud ‣ ON

Re: MultiCam problem with iCloud
Yup all the settings as you said. I did get it to work with a testvideo made in my office just after Multicam was launched. This was a small file so it could have to do with the sizes of the files as these are between 400 and 800 MB but during one night of 8 hours sleep after a track event it should have had one of the stints uploaded at least. Anyways I have already used the manual option which deleted the videos from multicam app so no more iCloud this time around.
The problem is not to download the video from iCloud with HLT but rather to get Multicam to upload the video. I have checked my iCloud data size regularly (on multicam device as well as other with same account) since I got home yesterday and it has not changed at any time.
