LapTimer Documentation - Update

Post by Harry »

Dear friends of LapTimer,

We are currently working on a full and up to date LapTimer PDF documentation. This documentation will replace the online documentation available on http://www.gps-laptimer.de/LapTimer_Documentation.html step by step. As the first (and probably most interesting) chapter, we have finished the Video Chapter today. Please follow the link below to see all the great video features LapTimer v17 Petrolhead (partially Grand Prix) will have included.

Update (further chapters available):
Harry's LapTimer Documentation - Points of Interest and Triggers

Let us know what you think and thanks a lot to my beta testers - especially Simon - who were of great help developing this work product.

Looks great! but i did very little Harry as it was exceptionally written to begin with. It just required a second eye to proof read it, which is the case with all good documents. ;)

Excellent, looking forward to the full manual.
BTW, there is a typo in the "Overview" first paragraph, "multiply" instead of "multiple".

Approval of the new versions is taking a while :( , the last app we submitted was done in 2 days.

Thanks, will feed the typo back.

Just checked the status, it is still "In Review" for all three editions. And MultiCam is "Waiting for Review". I need to admit the 1 or 2 day approvals we have seen for the 16.5.x and 16.6.x version were pretty unusual. So continue keeping your fingers cross :-) I will submit the LapTimer editions independent of the new MultiCam app, there is enough new stuff to get used to :-)

Had a quick reread of the doc.
Comments as follows:

First seen in page 34.
Extro. I think a more normal word for this would be Outro. As in In and Out.

Page 36 Second para.
We select the lap time 00:36:82 now (see right snapshot). ...the buttons below the preview offer basic video funtions, Overlay.
The button shown shows play, not the other options.
Picture should show screen before being overlaid.

Page 39 Using iCloud...
Second para, first line. But in different
n missing from the word in.

Page 43
Transferring video ...
third para 2nd line. Lap Timer will detect a new video...
Add that. Lap Timer will detect that a new video...

Pages 46 and 47 have a watermark logo, inconsistent with other pages.

Page 47
Diagram.
Could do with being larger so text is easier to read.
Not having perfect vision, there is not enough contrast in the azure call outs with the white text, making it difficult to read.

Para 3 first line.
The vice versa scenario
Should be the opposite scenario.

Hope this helps.
