I had a track day of 28 laps that I could not open to list each lap in Circuit Tools. I asked CT (Racelogic) about it and got a very fast response : "The major problem with the file is that it does not have any satellites throughout (i.e. satellite channel is 0), so Circuit Tools reads the file as invalid, part rejecting the data. If you manually change the data file to have satellites, it will load in and create separate laps, that you can compare." He fixed my file and sent it back to me and it opens as it should. However, I have no idea what, where or how he did what he did. I'm not comfortable bugging them again as they don't really support 3rd party apps and have extended themselves already for me.
Another issue is that each time I import a .vdo file into CT it asks to "Please enter Lograte (Hz) for file". I found a Hz number of 30 somewhere within HLT but not certain that is correct the graphs do look reasonable.
Any help out there??
Much thanks!!

2 points: 1) which version of LapTimer did you use? The question on update rate should not be come up with the latest LapTimer versions... 2) Just send me the file you got from RL (plus the file you sent them). I will check the changes.

Had a look into your files. Indeed, as you recorded your laps using the internal GPS, no satellite information has been available - resulting in 0 sats exported. The tests I (and others) made have been done using an external sensor - which allows export of satellite numbers.
For anyone with similar issues, please open the vbo file in any plain text editor and replace the leading '000' by e.g. '10'. In case your editor is capable of using regular expressions for find / replace use the find pattern '^000' and replace by '10'.

What about the Lograte Hz issue? Is there a way to make it go away and function correctly? If not, is plugging in "30Hz" the right number to use?

This question goes away once you have fixed the satellite count. LapTimer exports 10 Hz to make CT happy - even when sampled with 1 Hz only.
