After upgrade, laps not consistently recorded

Post by Nician87 »

I purchased Lap Timer around late August or early September. Along with Dual XGPS150 and GoPoint BT1. I'm using an IPad to record laps.

Finally got on the track today and for the first few sessions everything worked fine.

Then I upgraded to the most recent version and the next session I got nothing at all, and the next session only 3 out of about 8 laps.

Did the POI detection change? I was at Laguna Seca which is pretty simple from a position detection point of view.

Would it help to post my day lap data?

Any ideas on other possible causes?

During the update I might have joined the paddock wifi network which would be intermittent.

I had to mount the iPad in an orientation where I can't see the screen while driving, so I don't know if there was a popup on screen.

Hi,

Usually an issue with GPS accuracy (too good or too bad) and triggers. From your recordings (any lap that worked) it is well possible to understand the issue. So please post a snapshot or send an KML export. Thanks. This is the primary reference for this topic: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2
