One lap data but long video!

Post by Baurice »

Hi harald
On a recent trackday, I was using HLT with Tom Tom mount. I loaded up the track, & used autostart which seemed to work perfectly. During the laps the gForce and speed were on shown the display
When I stopped after 5-6 I overlayed the data on the video but HLT had only recorded one lap of data but had all the video. Is this normal or should there be data for each lap?

Cheers Andrew

Hi,

There should be data for each lap... LapTimer starts video recording once you pass the start / finish line. You most probably ran the intro round, passed the start / finish line and started lap 1 recording + video. You passed start / finish a second time, lap 1 has been finished, lap 2 has been started, video recording continued. For one of the reasons named in the article linked below, LapTimer missed further laps while video recording continued. Video recording has been finished when you closed the Video View in the pits, this purges 'open' recordings too as they are assumed to be from an incomplete closing lap.

Please check the items here for your next track day and sorry for any inconvenience.
