Location services are configured in iOS's Settings app, not LapTimer Settings.

Yes ive enabled location services within the IOS's settings but your previous post mentions enabling location services for laptimer also.

So far i have,

Enabled location sevices within the genaral tab in the iOS's
Reset location warnings

Laptimer will not load up.

Harry, how do i turn on location services for laptimer?
Harry wrote:Hi,

Please check the following:

On the phone, open Settings, goto Location Service. Make sure both location services in general and for LapTimer are enabled.
Next, go back to Settings / General, scroll to the bottom, tap Reset, tap "Reset Location Warnings".
Try to start LapTimer again

Settings app -> General -> Location Service
In case LapTimer came to the point to request positions, it appears in addition to the general setting. If not, make sure location services are on in general. As written above, it is important to reset location warnings in addition. Please download the latest version 16.0.5 too. It has been approved today and should show up in AppStore. I have added some code to work around a crash triggered by this location service topic. In case it still fails, there is another reason for the startup problems.

Ok ive done all the above and it still does'nt startup. I think im coming to the conclusion that my itouch must be at fault, ive even tried restoring the phone before each install of a new version but its the same problem everytime, the startup screen appears for 5 seconds then crashes back to homescreen.

Hi,

Just a short update: based on some crash reports I received from a user, I have been able to reproduce the bug with an iPhone3G + iOS4.2.1 now. I will check if I can find a workaround and come back once I'm done.

O.k., found the reason and a solution. A fix will be included in 16.0.6.

Mid term, you need to go this path anyway. I will submit a compatibility roadmap in the Announcement section today. The new iPod touch presented yesterday seems to be a great tool anyway :-)
