RaceBoxMiniSensor Error ☠️

Post by scmcint »

I am running Harry's Laptimer Grand Prix Edition v25.01 on an iPhone 8 Plus iOS 16.7.11 and a RaceBox Mini S v2.1.3

Whenever I attempt to record laps within Harry's Laptimer, the following error frequently appears and recording stops.
Automation Error

An error occured in RaceBoxMiniSensor, please contact RaceBox Pro for support:
calling function
'sensor.btle.characteristicvaluechanged()' yields [string "line"]:139: attempt to index a nil value (global 'self')

If I hit the "Ignore" button recording will resume but shortly thereafter the same error pops up.

During this time, the Racebox Mini S reords its own data flawlessly.

I tried to find a setting within Harry's Laptimer to ignore the RaceBox Mini S and use the iPhone's internal GPS, but could not find anything. It seems to find & select the RaceBox by default and cannot be switched.

Any ideas?

Thanks for reporting. This is a script error I could localize easily. It will be fixed for the next bug fix release. It will not occur for everyone (and didn't during testing) and is related to error handling that needs to be done for "not perfect Bluetooth conditions".
