RejasRubberTrac distance data

Post by nosdakota »

I’ve built and been using these sensors for the last season and they have been working great. Recently I added the distance sensors to them and they show me the distance data when I’m aligning and testing the sensors, however I can’t seem to find where the distance data is being recorded. My recorded laps show both the visual temp display on the video and the graph in the charted data.
I’m using the nRF52 version and iOS.
Thanks to anyone that can help

Oh, that's a deep dive you are doing! :-) Distance for tires is not shown in LapTimer's user interface. It will not be more than a hand full of users with this equipment. But distance is stored in LapTimer's database when recording laps. To access it, you can use either Harry's LapTimer HLPTRL / HLPTRZ XML format, or the SQL export.

Thanks Harry. I found it there and was able to view it. I just didn’t know if there was a way to view it in the interface. The data is pretty handy for tuning aero. Thanks again for all the work you put into this app

I had a similar issue when I added distance sensors to my setup last year. Turned out the app I was using didn’t automatically log the distance data, even though it showed up fine during testing. I had to go into the app settings and manually enable it as a data field to record. If you haven’t already, I’d double-check the logging settings in your app or make sure the distance sensors are fully paired with the system. Sometimes it’s just a simple toggle or a firmware update you might have missed.

Thanks Phoenis, which software were you using for logging?
