Change Start/Finish position of an existing track

Post by MSGios »

Hello,

How can I change the position of the Start/Finish point of an existing track?

The track is Haras Tuiuti (Brazil).

It is a regularity competition and the organizer use their own timing system and place the transponder “antenna” farther ahead compared the current track configuration in HLT database.

The attached picture shows the current Start/Finish and where I need to relocate it (green line)

Thank you for your help.

Long press the s/f line trigger in Map and drag it to the correct position. In addition, you need to change the driving direction to roughly 225 degree (check the small red arrow). NB: this will create a copy of the certified track set. Times will not be submitted to Hall of Fame, neither will the lap be comparable to laps recorded regularly.

Excellent Harry, I managed to perform the modifications. Thank you.

But, now, I have some additional questions:
1. Where the modified track will be stored?
2. How do I select the modified track before starting the event? Despite having it modified, if I select the track from database it comes with the original configuration.

Thank you again for your help.

When using Load Track, the server side certified track is downloaded to your smartphone. You can see it in Lap List as Certified Track Set in the first row below the track name. As long as a track set is in the list, it will be used automatically. No selection required. If eg you have 5 sets loaded, LapTimer will switch automatically once you pass one of its triggers.

When changing a POI of a track set downloaded, it is converted to a User Track Set. It works similar as before, but it has no server reference / counterpart any more. It will be used automatically when passing one of its triggers.

When loading the track set again, it will be overridden by the server copy and switch to Certified state again. The reason for this is the track set name which identifies the track set.

You can’t use a User Track Set and its Certified version alternating.

Harry,

Thank you for your attention and help so far.

I was able to edit START/FINISH position and delete some WARNINGS that confused me during the event.

But now I still have some questions on how to make HLT works at the track.

See the pictures attached:

I think there is a chance of HLT gets very confused having two tracks at the same place at the same time.

Could you give me a step by step procedure I should follow before entering the track so HLT will consider only the edited verion of the track?

Thank you again. The next event will be saturday and I have to improve my perfomance in order to keep the cfampionship lead.

To disable a track set, it is unloaded. Unloading means, you goto Lap List and swipe / long press delete the row showing "User Track Set...". For track sets available from our repository, this is no problem, because you can reload it from the server at any time.

User track sets are stored locally only, so you can't reload it. The work around is as follows: select your User Track Set row in Lap List and press the Certify button in the bottom. This will do some QA and usually send the track set to us for certification and inclusion in our track set repository. In your case, just change the email address to your own address and send it to yourself. The track set will end up in your inbox from where you can reload it any time. Once you have verified the track set arrived in your inbox, delete the User Track Set row in LapTimer. To reload the user track set from mail, select the attachment in Mail and select LapTimer for import.

EXCELENTE !!!

Now I have only the modified track loaded.

I think that all I have to do is to start HLP and go to the track. Right?

Thank you for your attention and help.

I'll let you know how it wet.

Marcelo Gios

PS: I have HLP sticker somewhere. I'll place it on the car as soon as I find it.
