Ok, I have sent you the files requested as per email.

I am not sure if this is possible, but what I am looking for is:
- The original video (Maybe in photo Library?)
- That same video with full overlay for each lap (Somehow in HLT?)
- A means to view an individual lap with overlay (Likely right from HLT, like with previous app revisions)

1. So, it seems I need to go and select this large continuous video file for each lap, is that right?
2. Is the next step to select the Finish POI for each lap? Which you are helping me do, thanks.
3. The concern is that when I perform the overlay operation, is this for the entire video or do this lap by lap?
4. Next, how do I view the entire session with all of the laps continuous strung together?

Thanks Again,
Terry

1. Yes
2. Yes, sent you 4 restored links - you do not need to work on this (1 + 2)
3. Lap by lap; LapTimer copies a portion of the large video, overlays it, moves it into the Photo library and relinks the lap to this overlayed video
4. You can view the raw one. Overlays are separate for each lap.

Ok, I will follow the email procedure and I am sure I will be restored as much as possible.

So, you know what the next video feature request is.......
The ability to view an entire session, meaning the whole large video with overlay. :^)

Ok, thanks again for the .plist file. I was able to overlay 4 laps. The intro and extro is very useful, for any one lap 5s seems to be a good number. When you are starting with the big video file, it has to skip frames for a while before it actually starts overlaying. It is really no problem though.

On one of my laps I had to go in and manually 'Set' the Finish POI. Thanks for the info that I did not have to be accurate down to the specific frame, ±6 frames is great.

So, how do I get the full raw video moved to the photo library once I am finished overlaying? I am a little apprehensive given my previous attempt.

And I guess you could always take the videos off the iphone to splice them together for a continuous overlayed video, but that seems like too much pain and trouble. Doing this within HLT would be optimal, I am anxiously awaiting this update. :^)

What an awesome App!!

To move the raw video there are two options:
1. Backup your links (I think you know how to work with the .plist file now), make sure your have available plenty of memory (I'd suggest to have the size of the video + 1GB available), and use the Move button again. In case it doesn't work, you can easily restore the links. Afterwards, use iTunes to synchronize your videos to the desktop.
2. Copy the raw video using iExplorer.

I then want to export these overlayed laps to a 3rd party programme to make a continous video from the individual laps. That way I have the individual laps for comparison and the full session as one.
trouble I'm having at the moment is getting the video off the iphone and onto windows.
iirc Harry has said that overlaying a video requires twice as much memory as the video, so you could/would run into memory issues whilst doing the overlay.

So how did this work out? What software did you use?

Am I understanding this properly??? While a copy via iExplorer would work, you would definitely be doubling your space required because now you have 2 videos (1 in the library, 1 in HLT ) right?
Also, if you decide to be tricky and delete the video in HLT, now all of the links are dead. Did I get that right?

iExplorer copies files from the iPhone to the desktop -> space required on desktop only
Move from LapTimer Documents to Photo library -> LapTimer needs to copy the movie first and deletes the one in LapTimer Documents when successful. In case the copy is not successful, LapTimer doesn't delete the movie in LapTimer Documents. The Photo library does not allow a 'move', so this needs to be done this way. Due to the copy / delete combination, this requires temporarily enough space to hold both the vid in LapTimer Documents and Photo library.

Not made it yet! Upgraded hard disk then Adobe Premier Elements decided it didn't want to work, couldn't find the disk to reinstall, so have been searching for a while. Found it today, so will install and try to get this done over the next few days.

Is there any way to overlay all laps of a session as a single operation?
I'd like to be able to export a fully overlaid video to the Photo library, and then if I wish, I can crop the start/end of the video on my PC.

Everyone loves my Lap Timer videos, but they complain that the single lap videos are too short.
I sometimes drive on a gokart track that has very short 17 second lap times, and it is time consuming to manually create all of the overlays and the merge the videos.
