Start recording from the pitlane

Post by Ferrarista »

Normally, Laptimer would start recording when the start/finish line is crossed. How can I start recording (including the graphic overlay) from the pitlane so that I can make some commentaries during the launch lap?

That's easy:
  • enable Manual Timing in LapTimer's Settings
  • this will add a Start / New button to Timer View visible while LapTimer's idling
  • before leaving the pit, press this button - it will start a lap (and video) just like when triggered automatically
  • once passing s/f the first time, the manual recording will be stopped ("incomplete lap") and a new lap will start
When doing this, you will have a video starting when leaving the pits up to the time you press Stopp when back in the pits. Now you can add "Intro" and "Extro" ranges to get additional time ahead of your first lap and behind. NB: the seconds that can be added are limited.

Thanks a lot! It's not really clear what you mean with Intro and Extro. Could you explain better?
