No data overlay for external camera

Hi all,
I’ve been looking around on the forums but haven’t been able to find an answer to my issue so I’m hoping someone can chime in.

I’m using an iPhone XR with a GoPro hero7. I used dual recording while at the track this past weekend and i can’t get the data to overlay over my GoPro footage.

What’s odd is that the data will overlay the master video from my iphone camera without issue, but when i try to overlay and export the GoPro footage, nothing happens and it’s just normal GoPro footage.

I’ve messed around for a few hours now and i still haven’t been able to figure this out. Any help would be appreciated

HERO7? Not 8? Anyway, looks like the same issue like that reported for the HERO8 - it is documented in LapTimer Known Problems FAQ: viewtopic.php?f=39&t=1693

Hi Harry,

Thank you for your help and quick response. The camera is a gopro hero 7 black. I don't think a hero8 is out yet. I will look into the link you provided!

True, I mixed that up. My last HERO is a 5.
